Hello, my name is Jolia Thadal. I am currently a senior at Robbinsville High School and this is my third year with the robotics team. After hearing about the program through classmates, my curiosity grew and I began to inquire about Team Nemesis and the FIRST organization. I always had an interest in computers. For example, in preschool, I had the childhood dream of becoming a computer teacher so that every child in the world would learn how to to use a computer. This may have started as a spontaneous declaration but it ended up guiding me to pursue the field of technology.
Today, I am a member of the software and web team. Members of the software team help program the robot using National Instrument’s Labview programming language. As part of the web team, I am utilizing other coding languages for the current Nemesis website. I am enjoying my overall involvement with the team because it encourages me to optimize my creativity and technicality.
Outside of robotics, I am the editor-in-chief of Robbinsville High School's Yearbook committee and serving as the historian of the Technology Student Association. In my free time, I volunteer for various charities and organizations. Some of my favorite pastimes include: listening to music by emerging independent artists and watching documentaries. Over the years, I have grown to become an avid fan of international soccer and every four years looked forward to the FIFA World Cup and the Olympics Games.
