I was introduced to the robotics team during freshman year when I came to a meeting with my brother. It seemed interesting so I decided to give it a try. Robotics turned out to be a lot of fun, so I decided to join the team officially sophomore year. By the time I was a senior, I had become head of the build team.
I like working with my hands and building the robot provided me with that opportunity. One of the most important things I learned was to manage the budget carefully and not spend it all in the beginning! I also learned the many steps involved with building a robot and how long it takes.
I also enjoy cooking meals for my family, which lead me to decide to major in culinary arts. Robotics provided me with the opportunity to learn more about the engineering field.
