Michael Lim
Class of 2020
The Kelley School of Business at Indiana University

Hi, my name is Michael Lim. I am a senior at Robbinsville High School. At the age of 12, I knew that my dream was to work in the Financial Sector on Wall Street and began working to make that dream a reality. Since then, I have begun building my stocks and securities portfolio, as well as joining Nemesis’s Marketing Division. Working with and learning from my teammates, I have honed my public speaking, writing, organizational, and critical thinking skills. Currently, I am working on developing and maintaining relationships with corporate sponsors and the press. As well as, conducting risk assessments, tracking team progress/performance, creating SWOTs and KPIs, and writing the team business plan. Additionally, I help organize and coordinate community outreach events and fundraisers. Looking back, I know full well that when it comes time to enter the professional world, the skills I have learned here will be invaluable. I love what we do on this team, and I am grateful for the irreplaceable opportunity that Nemesis offers.

Outside of FIRST®️ Robotics, you can either find me on the turf as a three-year starter and the vice-captain for the varsity boy's soccer team or on the links as captain of the boy's varsity golf team. I also serve as the treasurer for both the Future Business Leaders of America and the Robbinsville Interact Club. Additionally, I am always finding opportunities to volunteer in my community. On my own time, I enjoy hanging out with friends, playing sports, and listening to music.

I’m currently pursuing a double major in Finance and Economic Consulting at the Kelley School of Business, and plan on pursuing an MBA. In the future, I hope to be working as an analyst on Wall Street for either a top investment bank or private equity fund. I cannot wait to see what my final competition season at Nemesis 2590 has to offer!
