Hello, my name is Nikki. This is my fourth year on Nemesis’ Build Team, which I have dreamed of joining since first hearing about it. I have loved building things with LEGOs and K'nex since I was little. I first became interested in joining Nemesis after doing the Robotics Discovery Day that the team holds annually. My family is made up of engineers and other STEM career holders, and I hope to join them as a mechanical engineer. I am honored to be a part of this team because it teaches me valuable aspects of engineering and how to be a part of a group that makes phenomenal robots. I have learned a lot about designing and building robots and look forward to the 2020 season.
Outside of robotics I am a third degree black belt and spend a lot of my free time training and teaching at my karate school and competing at tournaments. I am also a thrower for the school’s track and field team during the spring. I love reading and watching fantasy and sci-fi stories such as Narnia and Doctor Who, and am usually always wearing at least one thing Harry Potter related.
